Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management invites applications for a part-time Facilities Supervisor (Band 3) based in Bridlington. You will lead facilities staff, develop rotas, and ensure standards set by the Facilities Manager are upheld.

The role requires effective communication, team leadership and a flexible approach to rota patterns, with potential cover at Scarborough and Malton sites. NHS benefits apply.

Qualifications

• GCSE level including Maths and English.
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Willingness to undertake any qualifications deemed appropriate to the post.
• BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Health and Safety Train the trainer.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Cleaning & Support Services/Customer Care/Health & Social.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Facilities staff across the site.
• Arrange training for new and existing staff on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure standards set by the Facilities Manager are maintained.
• Create and amend departmental rotas and ensure shifts are covered.
• Oversee annual appraisals, timesheets, and leave records.
• Manage Return-to-Work procedures where appropriate.
• Handle initial HR issues for direct reports.
• Order and deliver domestic stock for wards and departments.
• Create and amend work plans as required.
