Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a trusted supervisor to lead a team of Facilities Assistants in a busy hospital environment. You will oversee rotations, audits and regulatory compliance while ensuring safe, clean, and compliant environments for patients and staff.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with business-use vehicle access, willingness to travel between sites, and a commitment to NHS policies and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• We require someone with supervisory experience and knowledge of NHS policies and procedures.
• Experience in cleaning or support services with safety/compliance focus.
• Knowledge of infection control and COSHH standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership for up to 20 Facilities Assistants.
• Manage rotas and ensure correct shift allocations to meet service requirements.
• Oversee audits, site coordination, and regulatory compliance (infection control).
• Act as a key contact for staff, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Support staff development, wellbeing, engagement and retention through effective leadership.
• Liaise with clinical teams to maintain service continuity and resolve issues.
• Travel to other sites for on-site supervision, audits, and training.
