Job summary

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Care Manager for a 9-month fixed term contract in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. You will oversee day-to-day care delivery within an Extra Care scheme, ensuring safe, high-quality care tailored to individual needs and regulatory compliance.

You will develop personalised care plans, coordinate with residents, families and carers, and manage staff rotas with a focus on efficiency and value.

Qualifications

  • Proven management/supervisory experience in care services.
  • Strong understanding of care planning and safeguarding.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including CQC standards.
  • Experience of managing and scheduling staff rotas.
  • Excellent organisation and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day delivery of care services within an Extra Care scheme.
  • Create and review personalised care plans with residents and families to meet needs and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee staff rotas and resource planning to ensure value for money and adequate coverage.
  • Monitor performance and quality of care, identifying and managing risks.

AsAssistant Care Manager,you willmanagetheday to daydelivery ofcare serviceswithin a designated Extra Care scheme.Ensuringresidents receivesafe,high qualitycare tailored to their individual needs,enabling themto livewell with dignity and autonomy.

You willcreate and regularly review personalised care planswith new and existing residents, their families,stakeholdersand carers,ensuringthey meet the needs of each resident andcomply withregulatory requirements and standards.

Overseeingthescheduling of rotas, providing adequate and efficient resourcing for all shiftswith a focus on value for money.You’llbedata driven,monitoringthe performance and quality of care services,identifyingand managing risks effectively.

Customer service skills area must,as first point of contact for ourresidents,familiesandpartner agencies,you will ensure residentsfeel heard, supportedand trust that anyrequirementsare addressed as a priority.
