Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management is seeking a Facilities Operative for Bridlington, with a permanent contract. The role involves working across Linen, Portering, Domestic duties, Waste management and catering support, in a 24/7 operated site. Training will be provided; a valid driving licence is required.

Base location is Bridlington, with full NHS terms and conditions. The post offers a generous relocation package up to 30% of salary (capped at £18k), a pension, annual leave, and

Qualifications

• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Able to use small and large pieces of equipment such as Regeneration oven/dishwashers/Floor machinery.
• Previous experience of working in the NHS.

Responsibilities

• Linen Room - distributing and assisting with deliveries of linen.
• Portering - helping with patient flow and movement of equipment around the hospital.
• Domestic Duties - cleaning wards/departments and serving tea/coffee/food to patients.
• Environment - removing and segregating waste.
• Catering – working in the kitchen alongside the Catering team.
