A leading healthcare organization is seeking an individual responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards, overseeing staff, and ensuring food hygiene compliance. The role involves conducting audits, training staff, and managing stock issues to support uninterrupted service delivery.
Responsible for completing cleanliness audits in line with National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021. Identify any shortfalls within the cleanliness and environment of the ward/unit and bring to the attention of the appropriate person/department, implementing actions to address issues as required.
Ensure food hygiene standards are met by completing regular audits. Provide staff training to ensure food is prepared, cooked, and served in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, taking into account specialist diets and cultural requirements.
Responsible for investigating and resolving problems related to stock issues and deliveries, ensuring that alternative solutions are in place if required.
Oversee day-to-day staff supervision, including planning staff rotas and ensuring shifts are covered. In times of absence, act to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Support the management team with staff induction, probation, and staff appraisals, including the development and implementation of individual development plans.
Provide on-the-job training to ensure staff are competent in their roles. Identify training needs and support staff with additional training, utilizing the Trust's Care to Learn training packages.
