Job summary

Edge Hill University is seeking an experienced Soft Services Operations Manager within the Facilities Management team. You will lead and develop the Soft Services team, overseeing cleaning, portering, waste and warehouse services.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the Soft Services team.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of cleaning, portering, waste management and warehouse services.
• Manage staffing resources, service standards, performance, budgets and operational planning.
• Ensure health and safety, compliance and assurance across Soft Services.
• Oversee risk assessments, COSHH requirements and audits.
• Manage contractors and contracts.
• Implement relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
• Support recruitment, induction, training and development of staff.
• Work with Facilities Management colleagues and the wider University to deliver a responsive, high-quality service.
• Align Soft Services with the University's FM Vision and keep services customer-focused.
