Job summary

Venn Group, on behalf of a leading higher education institution in Central London, seeks an Assistant Facilities Operations Manager to lead Soft FM across a multi-site university estate. You will oversee Front of House, Cleaning, Portering, Waste, Grounds and Catering, while managing contractors and SLAs.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships, support H&S standards, and deputise for the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Facilities Management or Soft FM in a complex environment.
• Proven people management experience and staff development.
• Strong contract management and supplier performance monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Budget management and operational planning experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Soft FM services including Front of House, Cleaning, Portering, Waste, Grounds, Catering.
• Manage contractors and service providers, monitor KPIs and SLAs.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the university.
• Support compliance, health and safety standards and campus service excellence.
• Deputise for the Facilities Operations Manager and participate in the Duty Manager rota.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the campus experience.
