Job summary

Amey Ltd at NRS Harwell invites applications for a Soft Services Manager to lead Cleaning, Portering and Grounds Maintenance across the Harwell estate. You will manage operations, build strong client relationships and drive performance in a regulated environment.

The role requires proven facilities management leadership, strong safety focus, and the ability to develop teams and optimize service delivery. BPSS clearance and site security training are required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management.
• Strong organisational skills with budgets, resources, audits and KPI oversight.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with decisiveness to drive improvements.
• Full UK driving licence and competent IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Experience managing Cleaning Services and Grounds Maintenance within FM.
• Experience managing teams and subcontractors.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of RAMS, COSHH and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, compliant delivery of Cleaning, Portering and Grounds Maintenance across the NRS Harwell estate.
• Act as primary operational contact for Soft Services with NRS stakeholders.
• Manage operational teams and supply chain partners to meet KPIs, SLAs and customer expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and security requirements are met, including RAMS and safe systems of work.
