Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Manager to provide specialist operational leadership for the Trust's security function, ensuring safe environments for patients, staff and visitors. The role oversees day-to-day security operations, incident response and compliance with NHS Protect, CQC and Health & Safety standards.

You will lead on security risk assessments, CCTV and access control oversight, violence reduction initiatives, contractor management and staff training, while

Qualifications

• Experience in security management within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of NHS Protect standards and Health & Safety at Work Act.
• Ability to prepare reports and briefing papers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day security operations across Trust sites.
• Conduct security risk assessments and support delivery of the Security Strategy.
• Oversee CCTV, access control and alarm systems with data protection in mind.
• Lead incident response for violence, theft, missing persons and unauthorised access.
• Coordinate security patrols, contractor performance and site inspections.
• Support investigations with evidence gathering and liaison with police.
• Deliver security awareness training and maintain security documentation.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and briefing papers for committees and inspections.
• Contribute to development of security policies and Trust-wide initiatives.
