Job summary

Freightliner is seeking a Facilities Manager to manage the UK property portfolio, reporting to the Group Property Director. You will ensure sites are compliant, safe and fit for purpose, working with rail, terminals, road and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.

You will lead FM standards, manage supplier performance, and oversee budgets, energy use and compliance across the estate, supporting sustainability and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering facilities management in an operational environment.
• Strong background in commercial negotiations and cost reduction in FM.
• Project management skills; experience with fit-outs or minor works is a plus.
• HSSE knowledge and compliance related to property management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key facilities contact for operational stakeholders across rail, terminals, road and engineering functions (land and buildings).
• Develop and implement facilities management standards, processes and reporting across the portfolio.
• Manage office, depot and site reconfiguration projects, refurbishments and fit-outs as required.
• Develop and oversee maintenance programmes to maximise asset life and reduce disruption.
• Oversee central FM budget and utility management to reduce consumption and costs.
