Job summary

The Woodland Trust is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead procurement across facilities, insurance and capital works, ensuring value for money and strong supplier performance. You will oversee insurance arrangements, risk management and the development of an Emergency Management Framework.

You’ll manage key contracts, support decarbonisation projects at the Grantham Office and maintain robust records while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing insurance portfolios and claims.
• Proven procurement experience, routes to market, tendering and supplier selection.
• Ability to manage contractors and suppliers, including SLAs and performance management.
• Strong focus on value for money and sustainable procurement outcomes.
• Experience developing policies and guidance including Emergency Management or Business Continuity.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement across Facilities, insurance, fleet, services and capital works with value for money and sustainability.
• Manage contracts and suppliers, monitor performance, budgets, value for money and sustainability, and lead market-testing activity.
• Oversee insurance arrangements, ensuring appropriate cover, regulatory compliance, risk management and assurance.
• Develop, test and maintain the Emergency Management Framework to respond to incidents.
• Support decarbonisation-related capital works at the Grantham Office.
• Maintain records and management information on contracts, procurement, insurance, expenditure and supplier performance, ensuring good customer service.
• Develop Facilities policies, procedures, SLAs and guidance to protect assets.
• Hybrid role with home working and Grantham head office, monthly attendance, occasional travel.
