Job summary

The Woodland Trust is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead procurement across Facilities, insurance, fleet and capital works, ensuring value for money and robust governance. You will oversee insurance arrangements, manage contracts and suppliers, and contribute to risk management and decarbonisation efforts at the Grantham office.

This hybrid role combines home working with monthly head office attendance in Grantham, Lincolnshire, with occasional travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Experience managing insurance portfolios and claims.
• Procurement expertise including routes to market, tendering, supplier selection.
• Ability to manage contractors, SLAs, performance monitoring.
• Focus on value for money and sustainable procurement outcomes.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and guidance (Emergency Management/Business Continuity).
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation in facilities/operational settings.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with facilities systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activity across Facilities, insurance, fleet, services and capital works.
• Manage key contracts and suppliers, monitoring performance and budgets.
• Oversee insurance arrangements and risk management.
• Develop and test Emergency Management Framework (EMF).
• Support capital works for decarbonisation at Grantham Office.
• Maintain records on contracts, procurement, insurance, expenditure, risks and supplier performance.
