Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the Facilities Manager in overseeing building operations across a campus environment. You will supervise staff, coordinate across multiple functions, and drive best practices aligned with client goals.

The role requires 3+ years in facilities management, strong leadership, and the ability to manage budgets and reports. A related degree is preferred with certifications advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in commercial/industrial real estate with facility management
• One year supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation
• CMMS/Work Order Management experience is preferred
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints

Responsibilities

• Manage the building staff in absence of the Facility Manager or Senior Facility Manager.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, site services and general maintenance in line with C&W policies.
• Respond to building maintenance requests promptly and coordinate contract programs to address issues.
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures and purchase orders.
• Contribute towards a five-year maintenance and cost-reduction plan.
• Ensure site documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor insurance requirements and coordinate claims as needed.
• Hire, train and motivate facility personnel and conduct performance evaluations.
