Directly Provided Services (DPS) offers a comprehensive range of social care services managed by West Sussex County Council. These services include 7 day centres and 6 residential services, all with buildings to maintain and situated across the county from Bognor Regis to Horsham to Worthing - (link to connect to support pages). Support can be provided on a long-term basis, for short breaks, or through day care and support options.

Salary: £27,254 to £28,598 depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full time

The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering facilities management (FM) services across a range of sites, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
The role will include monitoring maintenance and repairs, supporting statutory compliance (e.g. fire, water, asbestos), and overseeing contractors such as cleaning and grounds maintenance.
This is a mobile role requiring travel between sites, with occasional out-of-hours work to support essential services. Facilities Officers have access to a company van and are provided with a uniform.
On-site FM Officers will be managed and supervised by Facilities Management Area Managers and will also receive daily support and guidance from the relevant residential or day service management and senior teams. Working in our environments is highly rewarding, and the role of the Facilities Management Officer is vital in maintaining safe and comfortable spaces for our people, and the FM officers will be expected to approach all workplaces with respect, and awareness of the service users and their comfort in the place they call home.
