Job summary

Potter Space is seeking a dynamic Commercial Facilities Manager to oversee FM across a portfolio of business parks. Based in Leeds, you will report to the Head of Asset Management and work closely with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver a proactive, relationship-led service.

The role focuses on safety, compliance, planned maintenance and service-contract oversight, with travel between sites from a modern Leeds HQ including gym and rooftop terrace.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management across commercial/industrial/logistics sectors.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Proven track record managing contractors and multi-site estates.
• Experience setting up and monitoring FM service contracts.
• Financial awareness including service charge budgets.
• Reliable, flexible and well organised with strong communication.

Commercial Facilities Manager – Potter Space (Leeds-based)

Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Facilities Manager to join the growing Potter Space team. As the new Facilities Manager you will take ownership of the Facilities Management function across a portfolio of strategically located business parks, ensuring sites are safe, compliant, and maintained to high standards.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you’ll work closely with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver a proactive, relationship-led service.

The Role

As the Facilities Manager you will report into the Head of Asset Management and have the opportunity to help deliver outstanding customer service.

The role is based at our new modern headquarters in Leeds City centre with rooftop terrace, gym and close access to the train station with regular travel to our sites a key requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilities Management:
• Manage day-to-day FM operations across multiple sites
• Undertake regular inspections and schedule reactive/proactive maintenance
• Play a key role in system and process improvements with the wider team to maximise efficiency and quality of service provision
• Oversee planned maintenance programmes
• Health and Safety
• Ensure statutory compliance for the estates and head office
• Ensure compliance is documented efficiently and effectively
• Ensure individuals have appropriate training relevant to their role
• Maintain and communicate Crisis Management plans for each estate
• Contract delivery
• Manage contractors and supplier performance
• Control service charge budgets and support investment planning
• Customer Service
• Build strong tenant relationships and support customer success

About You

• Experience in Facilities Management within commercial, industrial, or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance
• Proven contractor and multi-site management experience
• Experience of setting up and monitoring service contracts in a similar environment.
• Financial awareness including service charge budgets
• Dependable, flexible and responsible individual with excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable: IWFM, IOSH, or RICS qualifications
