A leading organization in Leicester is seeking a Facilities Manager for Performing Arts to lead a team and enhance the use of theatres and studios. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing lettings, and improving community engagement with performing arts facilities.
Job Purpose
To lead a team of theatre technicians and collaborate with them to provide an excellent customer experience and increase the demand for the use of theatres, drama studios, music rooms, and main halls across the Trust. Ensure all performing arts facilities comply with legislation such as health and safety, licensing laws, and safeguarding children policies. Manage the lettings of performing arts facilities, building strong relationships with existing and new user groups. Review current lettings to identify solutions for increasing usage and introduce new types of hirers. Liaise with key staff within the Trust, including Theatre Technicians, Lettings Team, Site Teams, Estates Leads, Health & Safety Lead, and Communications Officers. Oversee staff and student training and development as needed. Enhance the visibility and reputation of performing arts facilities within the Trust and the local community to increase lettings and reputation. Lead efforts to secure funding for facility enhancements.
