Job description

We are recruiting for a Facilities Manager (Performing Arts)

Grade 8 pay points 15-18

Salary: £27,717 - £30,066 per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate individual for a new and exciting role to support the Performing Arts and local community groups. You will develop and maximize community use of LiFE MAT school theatre, drama, music, and main hall facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of LiFE MAT schools and the local communities.

Your responsibilities include overseeing theatre, drama, music, and main hall lettings across Trust Schools. You will collaborate with the Facilities and Programmes Lead and the hire/lettings team to increase facility use, implement up-to-date health & safety policies, and provide high-quality customer service. You will support new facility development and integrate community use programs into the Lettings program, ensuring financial viability. Additionally, you will work with theatre technicians and develop pathways for student technicians to join the lettings team, enhancing capacity.

Candidate Requirements
  • Excellent people management, marketing, and administrative skills
  • Understanding of quality assurance and experience delivering high-quality services to internal and external customers
  • Experience working within a theatre environment and technical knowledge

You will work with a team supporting daily lettings operations across Trust school sites for 49 weeks of the year, seven days a week. A thorough induction and training program will be provided. The ideal candidate is a team player who contributes to a friendly, supportive environment.
