Job summary

Bidwells is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join the Cambridge Science Park team. You will deliver FM services across a mix of laboratory, office and mixed-use buildings with autonomous responsibility.

The role focuses on operational FM, statutory compliance, sustainability and financial oversight, including service charge budgeting. You’ll work with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure high standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Health & safety qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH) required.
• Knowledge of commercial leases and landlord/tenant relationships.
• Experience with service charge budgeting/accounting in FM.
• Contract administration and tendering skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver facilities management across multi-let and vacant buildings.
• Manage contractors, service partners and key suppliers.
• Monitor service charges, budgets and expenditure.
• Oversee building services (M&E, utilities, cleaning, maintenance).
• Ensure health & safety compliance and lease obligations.
• Conduct regular building inspections and risk management.
• Support sustainability initiatives to improve environmental performance.
• Act as main contact for occupiers and manage queries/move-ins/outs.
• Collaborate with internal teams for projects and improvements.
• Provide updates on facilities performance and compliance.
