Job summary

Funko in Coventry is seeking a Maintenance Operative to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation, safety, and upkeep of warehouse and office facilities at the Coventry site. You will carry out routine inspections, perform repairs, maintain equipment, liaise with contractors, and support safety compliance to ensure a safe working environment.

The role requires a practical, hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage records, and identify efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of the warehouse and office facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, and decorating.
• Maintain and repair warehouse equipment, fixtures, and fittings.
• Ensure all building systems (lighting, heating, ventilation, etc.) are functioning effectively.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from colleagues and management.
• Liaise with external contractors when specialist repairs or servicing are required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting basic risk assessments where necessary.
• Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and service schedules.
• Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes.
• Monitor and manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment inventory.
• Assist with office moves, layout changes, and minor installations.
• Ensure the external areas (e.g., car park, walkways, loading bays) are safe, clean, and well maintained.
• Identify opportunities for improvements to facilities, efficiency, and cost savings.
• Support emergency response actions (e.g., leaks, power issues, safety hazards).
