Job summary

Serco Leisure is recruiting a Maintenance Technician at Ferry Leisure Centre in Oxford to support community facilities. The role involves reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and keeping buildings safe and welcoming.

The position offers 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, with benefits including gym membership for you and your family, DBS checks, holiday entitlement, pension, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance or building services environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Proactive mindset with problem-solving ability and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance across plant and equipment.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Work in line with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate faults, defects and spare parts requirements to supervisors.
• Contribute to improving working practices and safety systems.
• Support operational needs, including on-call rota and training attendance.
