Overview

Facilities Operative – Surrey/South London

£28,000 – £32,000

Due to the nature of the work, this position is only open to sole UK who are eligible to obtain Security Clearance. Copello are working on behalf of a Defence Prime to recruit a Facilities Operative in South London on a permanent basis.

In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to maintaining and improving the site — carrying out daily upkeep, repairs, and general support to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-presented working environment for staff and visitors.

What you’ll do

• Tackle general repairs and upkeep across the site (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Check and respond to issues with building systems and equipment.
• Support office moves, furniture setups, and layout changes.
• Oversee contractors and suppliers working on-site.
• Assist with grounds care, waste management, and seasonal tasks (e.g., gritting).
• Contribute to wider facilities projects and team improvements.
