Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support planned and reactive maintenance activities across site in Brough. You will assist engineers with building services, plant equipment, and general facilities to ensure a safe, compliant working environment and high service levels.

The role involves fabric maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and using CAFM systems to document work. A full UK driving licence is desirable and security clearance may be required for certain

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management, construction, or trade support role.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work on a BAE Systems site.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site.
• Assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities.
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings.
• Support engineers with mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance activities.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting, decorating and handyman tasks as required.
• Carry out routine inspections and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Assist with site moves, furniture installations and minor project works.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work using the company's CAFM system or relevant documentation.

ROLE: Maintenance AssistantHOURS: 40 hours a weekLOCATION: Brough, We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site. You will assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The role will involve carrying out a range of general maintenance and fabric tasks in support of the site maintenance team, while contributing to the achievement of service levels, compliance requirements and customer satisfaction standards.
