Thames Valley Police seeks a Facilities/ Building Maintenance Assistant to help maintain and service a range of buildings, plant and fleet across an extended area. The role includes on-call duties, CAFM checks, contractor liaison and access control, plus driving duties for servicing and evidence transport.

You will need GCSEs in English and Maths, team experience, sound time management, and IT skills; a full UK driving licence is essential for site coverage and lone-working safety.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education with GCSEs (Grade 9-1/A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Proven experience of working in a team environment.
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and unsupervised.
• IT literate with experience of Microsoft packages; fleet/buildings management.

Responsabilités

• Maintain buildings, plant, equipment and fleet including H&S checks.
• Provide an on-call service on a roster basis for a region of the force.
• Conduct and record CAFM checks to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with external contractors and commission work as needed.
• Update Traka system for vehicle access and bookings.
• Undertake driving duties for servicing, evidence transport and waste.
• Assist with deliveries, snow clearance and office moves.
• Provide contact for removal companies during projects when required.
