Job summary

Hertfordshire Constabulary is seeking two Facilities Assistants to support the Estates & Facilities team across Royston and Watford. The role includes health and safety tasks, planned maintenance, and reporting faults via PC in a dynamic policing environment.

Successful candidates will have a proactive approach, a full driving licence with access to a car, and the ability to work in a small team with occasional lone-working. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety tasks including L8 water hygiene, fire and panic alarms, emergency lights and related building services tasks.
• Ability to report maintenance via PC and use MS Office tools.
• Willingness to undertake general maintenance tasks and follow training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be the eyes and ears of the Estates & Facilities team on site and report faults promptly.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks and assist external contractors as required.
• Work in a small team and accommodate lone-working requirements and driving responsibilities.
