Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking a hands-on Facilities Assistant in Amersham within the Department Property Services, Facilities. You will contribute to maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment and fleet across a specified area, following H&S protocols.

You will provide an on-call service on a roster basis, monitor heating, cooling, site security and fleet administration, and work to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Good numeric and literacy skills.
• Experience of working in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Full driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment and fleet across a specified area.
• Provide an on-call service on a roster basis for a region of the force.
• Monitor heating, cooling, site security, cleaning and fleet administration.
• Comply with Health and Safety legislation including fire alarms and water testing.
