Job summary

C&C Search Ltd in Central London is recruiting a Facilities & Operations Manager for a globally recognised charitable organisation. You will lead a multi-disciplinary facilities team and oversee a multi-occupancy estate, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

The role focuses on maintenance, health & safety, budgeting and supplier performance, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. It is office-based with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong facilities management and building maintenance expertise is essential.
• Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical plant and critical infrastructure systems
• Previous experience leading and developing teams with a collaborative and approachable management style
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service delivery partners
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance requirements and building operations best practice
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and maintenance strategies
• Commercially aware with strong budgeting, procurement and negotiation skills
• Confident communicator with excellent presentation and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and CAFM systems

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a facilities team including an Assistant Manager and Maintenance Operatives
• Take ownership of all planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring building systems and infrastructure operate efficiently
• Manage contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, compliance, value for money and adherence to agreed service standards
• Oversee building operations including maintenance, health & safety, security, cleaning and reception services
• Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and ensure all maintenance records, certifications and documentation remain up to date
• Manage facilities budgets, forecasts, procurement processes and supplier performance
• Present facilities updates, performance reports and project updates to senior stakeholders and committees
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability programmes and operational efficiencies across the estate
• Support event operations and ensure facilities services are delivered seamlessly for large-scale events and activities
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, tenants, estate partners and external contractors
