Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead delivery of facilities management across a corporate environment in London and regional UK. You will ensure operational excellence, budget control, compliance, and a high-quality workplace experience.

You will be the primary contact for site operations, manage facilities services, supplier relationships, budgets, and stakeholder engagement while developing high-performing teams.

Qualifications

  • Previous Facilities Management experience within a corporate or commercial environment (Essential).
  • Experience managing facilities teams and service providers (Essential).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety and compliance requirements (Essential).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (Essential).
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting on financial performance (Essential).
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements and deliver high service standards (Essential).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities (Essential).
  • Professional Facilities Management qualification (IWFM/CFM/SFP or equivalent) (Desirable).
  • Experience managing multi-site operations (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of building management systems and sustainability practices (Desirable).
  • Experience supporting office moves, refurbishments, or workplace transformation projects (Desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver facilities management services, ensuring resilience, consistency, and continuity of operations.
  • Identify opportunities for service enhancements, process improvements, and cost optimisation.
  • Act as the main operational contact for key stakeholders.
  • Drive workplace experience initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and productivity.
  • Oversee integrated service delivery, including facilities, hospitality, catering, and events where applicable.
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support workplace transformation projects and operational changes as required.
  • Ensure effective management of work orders, building systems, and operational reporting.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, security, and environmental culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor corrective actions.
  • Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
  • Manage operational budgets and forecasts.
  • Track expenditure against budget and identify variances.
  • Work closely with finance teams to monitor costs and accruals.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service standards.
  • Produce regular financial and operational reports.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including energy, waste, and water reduction programmes.
  • Monitor building performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate recycling and environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Support sustainability reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop facilities teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure resources are appropriately allocated to meet operational requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor performance and service delivery standards.
  • Support contract management, procurement activities, and supplier reviews.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational issues and service challenges.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management services across a corporate environment. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, business continuity, financial performance, compliance, and exceptional workplace experiences.
