Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is seeking a Facades Design Manager to join our client in Potters Bar. You will oversee façade design across multiple projects from concept to construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure high technical and commercial standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of façade systems and materials, plus experience managing design packages and ensuring alignment with UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in façade design or design management.

• A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, architecture or related discipline would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate façade design activities across multiple projects.
• Lead the design process from concept and tender through to detailed design and construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and technical information.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, clients, contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve technical, design and buildability issues.
• Ensure façade designs comply with relevant UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Manage design programmes and ensure key deliverables are achieved on time.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to develop suitable façade systems and solutions.
• Provide technical input into tenders, pre-construction activities and project planning.
• Monitor design changes and assess their impact on cost, programme and delivery.
• Support site teams with technical guidance throughout the construction phase.Maintain accurate design documentation, approvals and project records.
• Ensure quality, compliance, buildability and safety remain central to the design process.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fa ade design or design management, with the technical knowledge and confidence to manage projects and work with a range of stakeholders.

• Previous experience within a Facades Design Manager, Design Manager or similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of fa ade systems, materials and construction methods.
• Experience managing fa ade design packages through to delivery.
