Hill McGlynn Recruitment is recruiting for a Facades Design Manager to oversee design across a range of projects in the construction/property sector. You will lead façade design from concept through to construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to maintain high technical and commercial standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of façade systems and UK Building Regulations, with responsibility for design programmes, approvals and documentation throughout

Competenze

• Previous experience in a Facades Design Manager, Design Manager or similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, materials and construction methods.
• Experience managing façade design packages through to delivery.
• Ability to interpret and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and growing business operating within the property and construction sector. They are looking to appoint an experienced Facades Design Manager to join their team and take a key role in managing façade design across a range of projects.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in façade design or design management, with the technical knowledge and confidence to manage projects and work with a range of stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience within a Facades Design Manager, Design Manager or similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, materials and construction methods.
• Experience managing façade design packages through to delivery.
• The ability to interpret and review technical drawings and specifications.
• A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of buildability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, architecture or a related discipline would be advantageous.
