Job summary

Keyman Personnel is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process for a specialist cladding and façade contractor. You will coordinate with architects, consultants, project teams and suppliers to ensure designs are compliant, buildable and delivered on programme.

The role requires managing design from pre-construction through to completion, with a strong background in rainscreen cladding, SFS or curtain walling and a solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager, Design Coordinator or Façade Designer.
• Strong background in cladding, façades or building envelope systems.
• Experience with rainscreen cladding, SFS, curtain walling or glazing.
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Strong communication, organisation and technical coordination skills.
• Recladding, high-rise or façade remediation experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage cladding and façade design from pre-construction through to completion.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Coordinate design information with architects, consultants and project teams.
• Manage RFIs, design changes and technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and relevant standards.
• Coordinate façade interfaces, including cladding, glazing, SFS and fire barriers.
• Attend design and client meetings.
• Support procurement, installation and project handover.
