Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking an experienced Facades Design Manager to oversee façade design across multiple projects in a permanent role. The candidate will manage from concept to construction, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure high technical and commercial standards.

The ideal candidate has strong façade design or design management background, with knowledge of UK Building Regulations and buildability, and excellent stakeholder management,

Qualifications

• Experience in façade design or design management within property/construction.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate façade design activities across multiple projects.
• Lead the design process from concept through to construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and technical information.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients and suppliers.
• Identify and resolve technical, design and buildability issues.
• Ensure façade designs comply with UK regulations and standards.
• Manage design programmes and deliverables on time.
• Provide technical input into tenders and pre-construction activities.
• Support site teams with technical guidance during construction.
