Job summary

Maine Group is recruiting for a Fabrication Supervisor to oversee Garvagh and Coleraine operations within a leading NI engineering manufacturer. You will manage a skilled welding/fabrication team, ensure safe and efficient output, and align with the wider production plan.

Ideal candidates bring extensive fabrication/welding experience, prior supervisory leadership, and a solid grasp of drawings, WPS, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' fabrication or welding experience within heavy engineering or manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques and quality standards.
• Experience in production planning and workflow management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Fabrication Department.
• Plan and coordinate production activities to meet customer deadlines.
• Supervise, motivate and develop a team of welders and fabricators.
• Monitor productivity, quality and workflow across the department.
• Drive continuous improvement, reducing downtime and rework.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards and production procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's leading engineering manufacturers, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Fabrication Department. You'll lead a skilled team of welders and fabricators, ensuring production is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while supporting the wider production plan.
