Job summary

Maine Group is partnering with Vickerstock to recruit a Paint Supervisor for their Garvagh operation. The role leads the Paint Department, organising workloads to align with the production schedule while ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality finishes.

Reporting to Production Manager, you will supervise and develop the paint team, drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to customer specifications throughout surface preparation, painting and finishing activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' industrial painting experience within heavy engineering/manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years' experience supervising or leading a paint team.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating processes and paint quality standards.
  • Experience of production planning and workflow management.
  • Proven track record of delivering production targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Paint Department.
  • Organise and prioritise daily workloads in line with the production schedule.
  • Supervise, motivate and develop the Paint team.
  • Ensure all surface preparation, painting and finishing activities are completed to specification.
  • Monitor production performance, minimise defects and rework, and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safe working practices.

Vickerstock are proud to be exclusively partnering with Maine Group to recruit a Paint Supervisor for their growing manufacturing operation in Garvagh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's leading engineering manufacturers. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Paint Department, leading the paint team to ensure production is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while supporting the wider production plan.

The Opportunity
