Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Fabric Technician to join the team near Salisbury. You will respond to reactive and planned maintenance, liaising with client representatives and producing safety-focused documentation.

The role requires trade skills, a current UK driving licence, and a solid understanding of health and safety procedures. You will repair floor and wall coverings, perform ceiling tile work, and handle other building tasks.

Qualifications

• Fabric or Carpentry experience required.
• Experience in critical or life science environments helpful.
• Relevant trade qualification present.
• Current UK driving license held.
• PC literate and able to use common software.
• Good customer relationship skills demonstrated.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/instructions.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiar with H&S procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments).
• Subject to site vetting and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive and planned maintenance within defined timeframes.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with client representatives regarding tasks.
• Undertake site surveys and produce works requests, method statements and risk assessments for planned works.
• Repair floor and wall coverings; ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
• Carry out other building and installation works as required.
• Complete work orders with status updates and clear communications.
• Undertake minor project works as needed.
• Ensure all works are performed safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Perform any additional reasonable tasks delegated by the manager.

Role Summary

• Respond to reactive & planned maintenance works within defined time frames
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
• Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
• Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
• Repairs floor and wall coverings
• Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
• Responsible for other building and installation works as required
• Complete work orders in accordance with status of work, providing key communications & updates
• Undertake minor projects works
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
• In addition to the above duties, you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as instructed by the relevant manager

Experience Required

• Previous Fabric, or Carpentry experience
• Experience of working in critical or life science work environment
• Relevant trade qualification
• Current UKL driver’s license
• PC literate
• Good Customer relationship skills
• Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions/processes
• Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
• Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
• Subject to site vetting/security clearance.
