Job summary

A global real estate firm is seeking a Fabric Technician in London. The role involves responding to maintenance tasks, ensuring completion within timescales, and undertaking site surveys. Qualifications

  • Experience working in high profile environments.
  • Understanding technical drawings/instructions and processes.
  • Experience of Health & Safety procedures (COSHH, Risk Assessment).
  • Current UK driving licence.
  • PC literate with basic IT skills.
  • Strong customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/instructions.
  • Ability to self-organise to manage tasks and materials.
  • Experience with H&S procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments).
  • Health & Safety Qualified (IOSH and/or NEBOSH).
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to reactive works and complete maintenance tasks timely.
  • Undertake site surveys, produce Works Requests and Method Statements.
  • Accountable for lighting changes and basic plumbing tasks.
  • Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works.
  • Repair floor and wall coverings.
  • Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
  • Carry out other building and installation works as required.
  • Accountable for lighting, lamps, filter changes for AHU/FCU, and basic plumbing.
  • Use PDA to complete works, communication, and updates.
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs and projects in a timely manner.
  • Undertake minor project works.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely per Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks directed by the Technical Services Manager.

Fabric, Carpentry experience

City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry

Responsibilities
  • Respond to reactive works within the team
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
  • Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairs floor and wall coverings
  • Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Responsible for other building and installation works as required
  • Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU’s / FCU’s and Basic Plumbing requirements
  • Utilise PDA to complete works, key communications & updates
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
  • Undertake minor projects works
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
  • In addition to the above duties you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager
Qualifications
  • Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
  • Experience of working in high profile work environment
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
  • Current UKL driver’s license
  • PC literate
  • Good Customer relationship skills
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions / processes
  • Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
  • Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
  • Health & Safety Qualified i.e. IOSH and/or NEBOSH
  • Must be willing to work over & above contractual hours
