Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in London is recruiting a Fabric Technician to join our team. The role focuses on delivering planned and reactive maintenance across building assets, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has carpentry experience, City & Guilds/NVQ in carpentry, and a valid UK driving licence. You will work under the Technical Services Manager, liaising with client representatives and completing site surveys and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ in carpentry is required.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with Clients representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
• Undertake site surveys and produce works requests, method statements and risk assessments for planned works.
• Repairs floor and wall coverings.
• Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
• Responsible for other building and installation works as required.
• Accountable for lighting, lamp changes, AHU/FCU filters, and basic plumbing.
• Utilise PDA to complete works, and manage key communications and updates.
• Complete reactive, PPM jobs and projects in a timely manner.
• Undertake minor project works.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely per Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
• Respond to tasks directed by the Technical Services Manager.

Job Title: Fabric Technician

Role Summary:

• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales

Experience Required:

• Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
• Experience of working in high profile work environment
• City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
• Current UKL driver’s license
• PC literate
• Good Customer relationship skills
• Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions / processes
• Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
• Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
• Health & Safety Qualified i.e. IOSH and/or NEBOSH
• Must be willing to work over & above contractual hours
