CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join our facilities team. You will perform maintenance and repair tasks across client sites, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.

The role covers fabric and carpentry tasks, decorating, and basic plumbing, with a focus on proactive and reactive works. You’ll work with our PDA system, correspond with clients, and contribute to surveys, reports, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

Experience in fabric, carpentry, or a related trade.
Painting and decorating experience.
Experience with fire doors.
City & Guilds or NVQ in carpentry.
Current UK driving license.
Strong IT and communication skills.
Knowledge of H&S: COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments.

Responsibilities

Respond to reactive works within agreed timescales.
Liaise with clients' representatives to ensure excellent service and communication.
Conduct site surveys and produce reports, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works.
Repair and replace floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building works as required.
Maintain lighting, lamp changes, filters, and basic plumbing.
Utilize PDA system to complete works, communications, and updates.
Complete reactive, PPM jobs, and projects in a timely manner.
Undertake minor project works with safe, compliant execution.

About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Fabric Technician to join our team in Birmingham. As a Fabric Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services that exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to reactive works and ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
Liaise with clients' representatives to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless communication
Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works
Repair and replace floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building and installation works as required
Maintain lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes, and basic plumbing requirements
Utilize our cutting-edge PDA system to complete works, key communications, and updates
Complete reactive, PPM jobs, and projects in a timely manner
Undertake minor projects works and ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in fabric, carpentry, or a related trade
Painting and decorating experience
Experience with fire doors
Proven track record of working in high-profile work environments
City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in carpentry
Current UKL driver's license
Excellent PC skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong customer relationship skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and processes
Self-motivated and organized, with a strong attention to detail
Experience of H&S procedures and requirements, including COSHH, Working at Heights, and Risk Assessment
