Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Coventry is seeking a Fabric Technician to support reactive and planned maintenance across our facilities. You will respond to works, liaise with client representatives and ensure tasks are completed within set timescales.

The role requires experience in fabric and carpentry, familiarity with technical drawings, and a valid UK driving license. You will contribute to lighting, ceiling, plumbing tasks and safety compliance while using a PDA for updates, and you may undertake

Qualifications

  • Previous Fabric, Carpentry experience
  • Experience of working in high profile work environment
  • Current UK driving license
  • PC literate
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions/processes
  • Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
  • Experience of H & S procedures & requirements (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments)
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH)
  • Willing to work beyond contractual hours

Responsibilities

  • Respond to reactive works within the team
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with Clients representatives regarding maintenance & repair tasks
  • Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairs floor and wall coverings
  • Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Responsible for other building and installation works as required
  • Accountable for lighting, lamp changes, Filter Changes AHUs/FCUs and basic plumbing
  • Utilise PDA to complete works, key communications & updates
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
  • Undertake minor project works
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely per Health & Safety at Work Regulations
  • Undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by Technical Services Manager

Role Summary

Experience Required

  • Current UKL driver’s license
  • PC literate

  • Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
  • Health & Safety Qualified i.e. IOSH and/or NEBOSH
  • Must be willing to work over & above contractual hours
