Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Liverpool is seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join our team. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance to keep client facilities running smoothly and safely.

The role requires carpentry, painting, and floor/wall coverings work, plus experience with fire doors. You will use our PDA system, liaise with clients, and contribute to high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabric, carpentry, or related trade is essential.
• Painting and decorating experience required.
• Experience with fire doors and working in high-profile environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive works and complete tasks within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with client representatives to deliver excellent service and communication.
• Conduct site surveys and produce reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Repair and replace floor/wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building works.
• Maintain lighting, lamp changes, filter changes, and basic plumbing tasks.
• Use PDA system for work updates and communications.
• Complete reactive, PPM, and project works on time.
• Perform minor projects and ensure safety per Health and Safety regulations.

About The Role

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Fabric Technician tojoin our team in Birmingham. As a Fabric Technician, you'll play a criticalrole in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities, deliveringhigh-quality maintenance and repair services that exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive works and ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
• Liaise with clients' representatives to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless communication
• Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works
• Repair and replace floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other building and installation works as required
• Maintain lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes, and basic plumbing requirements
• Utilize our cutting-edge PDA system to complete works, key communications, and updates
• Complete reactive, PPM jobs, and projects in a timely manner
• Undertake minor projects works and ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in fabric, carpentry, or a related trade
• Painting and decorating experience
• Experience with fire doors
• Proven track record of working in high-profile work environments
• City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in carpentry
• Current UKL driver's license
• Excellent PC skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong customer relationship skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and processes
