Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions in Woking is recruiting a Fabric Engineer for a Commercial Building on a site-based FM team. The role involves fabric PPM and reactive maintenance within a healthcare-like environment, with an immediate start and on-site work.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a temp-to-perm pathway; pay is £21 per hour (umbrella). Experience in commercial maintenance and strong safety awareness are preferred.

Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Woking - £21 per hour

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated inWoking. CBW is currently recruiting for a FabricEngineer. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties, a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and experience working within a healthcare environment. Working within a team on-site, he or she will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00am-17:00pm
• Temp to perm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & Decorating
• General fabric repairs
• Furniture moves porterage
• Fixing Furniture
• Hanging Pictures & Shelves
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site e.g PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
• Escort sub-contractors
• To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
