Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Fabric Engineer for an on-site role in London. The position covers fabric maintenance, PPM tasks, and reactive repairs within a commercial building, including healthcare environments.

You will work with the on-site team, perform basic fabric duties, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role offers an immediate start on an ongoing contract with standard hours (Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00) and £22 per hour umbrella.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Experience with building fabric duties and healthcare environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Health & Safety awareness and practical PC literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabric PPM and reactive maintenance on-site.
• Carry out painting, decorating, and general fabric repairs.
• Assist maintenance team with on-site tasks and sub-contractor liaison.
• Maintain and update log books and safety checks.

Fabric Engineer - FM Service Provider - Commercial Building - London - £22 per hour

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated inLondon. CBW is currently recruiting for a FabricEngineer, the successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and experienceworkingwithin a healthcare environment . Working within a team on-site, he or she will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

Working hours

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00am-17:00pm
• On-going contract
• £22 per hour (umbrella)
• Overtime available
• Immediate start

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & Decorating
• General fabric repairs
• Furniture moves porterage
• Fixing Furniture
• Hanging Pictures & Shelves
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site e.g PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
• Escort sub-contractors
• To undertake basic "Fabric duties" which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
