Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Warwickshire is seeking a Fabric Engineer to support a leading FM service provider. The role involves on-site fabric maintenance in a commercial (healthcare) setting, with duties ranging from painting to basic repairs and furniture work.

You will work within a team on-site, performing fabric PPMs, reactive maintenance, and related tasks. The position offers on-site hours, with a temp-to-perm path and an immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial building maintenance.
• An understanding of most building fabric duties.
• Health & Safety experience.
• Basic PC literacy (Word, Excel).
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Paint and decorate fabric areas.
• General fabric repairs and maintenance.
• Fixing furniture and fittings.
• Hanging pictures and shelves.
• Maintain and update log books.
• Assist the maintenance team on site (PPMs, fire alarm tests, taps, flushing).
• Undertake basic fabric duties including touch-ups, hinges, blinds, locks, and small assemblies.

Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Warwickshire - Up to £21 per hour

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Warwickshire. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties, a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and experience working within a healthcare environment. Working within a team on-site, he or she will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

Working hours

• Monday - Friday
• Temp to perm
• Immediate start

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & Decorating
• General fabric repairs
• Fixing Furniture
• Hanging Pictures & Shelves
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site e.g PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
• To undertake basic "Fabric duties" which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
