Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an on-site Fabric Engineer in Poole to maintain and service building fabrics. You will perform fabric PPMs and reactive maintenance within a team, handling tasks from painting to basic repairs and furniture moves.

Role requires knowledge of commercial building maintenance, good communication and health & safety experience, plus basic PC skills. Immediate start with a temporary assignment and hourly pay.

Responsibilities

• Painting & decorating.
• General fabric repairs.

• Hanging pictures & shelves.
• Maintaining and updating log books.
• Assist the maintenance team on site (PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temperature checks, flushing).
• Escort sub-contractors.
• Fabric duties: touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, repairing cabinets/desks, assembling small equipment.

Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider – Poole – Up to £23p/h – Temporary

An exciting immediate opportunity to join an established building services company based in Poole. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer; the successful candidate will have an all‑around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working within a team on‑site, the candidate will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

Working hours

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00
• Up to £23 per hour (umbrella)
• Immediate start

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & decorating
• General fabric repairs
• Furniture moves/porterage
• Fixing furniture
• Hanging pictures & shelves
• Maintaining and updating log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site (e.g. PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temperature checks, flushing)
• Escort sub‑contractors
• Undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and assembling small equipment such as chairs, etc.
