Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks a static Fabric Engineer for an industrial site in Long Sutton. You will handle fabric maintenance, planned and reactive tasks, and occasional travel to nearby sites. The role offers a basic salary up to £35,000, plus overtime and clear career progression.

Expect to conduct site walks, coordinate with client reps, perform repairs on walls, floors and ceilings, and maintain brand standards. Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00, with pension and annual leave included.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ in a fabric-related trade (Advantageous).
• Background in painting & decorating (Advantageous).
• Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Honest, hard-working and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walks and audits to ensure areas meet brand guidelines and site standards.
• Collaborate with client representatives to deliver high-quality site presentation and operational excellence.
• Carry out fabric and finish repairs (walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures) and patch floor/ceiling coverings.
• Ensure customer-facing areas are clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
• Complete maintenance and repair tasks within agreed timescales.
• Undertake site surveys and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for planned works.
• Deliver minor projects and site upgrades to enhance environment and brand image.
• Perform general building and installation works as required.
• Use digital tools/PDA to track, report, and communicate progress.
• Maintain full accountability for site standards and brand excellence.
• Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
• Carry out additional duties as directed, including jet washing, decoration, pothole repairs, and other ad hoc maintenance tasks.

Fabric Engineer - FM Service Provider - Long Sutton - Up to £35,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated in Long Sutton. I am currently recruiting for a static Fabric Engineer to be based on an industrial site in Long Sutton.

The successful candidate will be an all-round Fabric Engineer and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

He or she will be required to carry out Fabric planned and reactive maintenance on this static site, as well as occasional travel to local sites in the surrounding areas. This position would be perfect for a Fabric Engineer in a similar position and you would be expected to carry out the duties listed below. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £35,000, overtime and career progression.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance and repair tasks within agreed timescales
• Undertake site surveys and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all planned works
• Deliver minor projects and site upgrades to enhance the environment and brand image
• Perform general building and installation works as required
• Use digital tools/PDA to track, report, and communicate progress effectively
• Maintain full accountability for site standards and brand excellence
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
