HVAC Recruitment is seeking a Fabric Technician to join a leading facilities management team working across commercial office buildings in Reading. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on fabric, plumbing and general building upkeep.

This permanent position offers a 40-hour week, opportunities for overtime, a company van, 29 days holiday incl. bank holidays, uniform and a solid pension. Travel to sites up to 1.5 hours and an on-call rota are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with plumbing skills.

Fabric Technician

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

HVAC Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a leading facilities management team working across commercial office buildings in the Reading area.

This is a great opportunity for a Fabric Engineer / Maintenance Engineer with good plumbing experience who is looking for a stable role with plenty of overtime opportunities and a strong overall package.

The Role

As a Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial office buildings.

Duties will include:

• General fabric and building maintenance
• Reactive maintenance and fault finding
• Plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Minor building repairs and general handyman duties
• PPM and reactive maintenance
• Working across commercial office environments
• Supporting the wider facilities management team
• Travelling to client sites, with travel of up to 1.5 hours
• Participating in a 1 in 8 on-call rota

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Fabric Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Handyman or similar
• Good plumbing experience
• Previous experience within a commercial/FM environment
• A broad range of general building maintenance skills
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Package

• Up to £35,000 salary
• 40-hour working week
• Overtime available and guaranteed when requested
• Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x
• Sunday overtime paid at double time
• 1 in 8 on-call rota
• New van specific to your trade

• Additional holiday after 2 years' service, with further holiday accrual thereafter
