Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Fabric Engineer for a high-profile corporate office in Charing Cross, Central London. The role covers fabric maintenance and decorating across the building, with baseline electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, supporting an on-site maintenance team.

The position offers a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri, 08:00–17:00), salary up to £37,000, overtime and opportunities for further training, plus a company pension.

Qualifications

• Painting & Decorating Background Prefered
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Strong understanding of general fabric trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting)
• Multiskilled with good communication skills

Fabric Engineer - FM Service Provider - High Profile Corporate Office Building - Charing Cross, London - Up to £37,000

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Charing Cross, Central London. CBW are currently recruiting a Fabric Engineer with a painting & decorating to be based within a high-profile corporate office building located in Charing Cross, Central London. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of most general fabric trades such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. Working alongside the maintenance team on site, he or she will be required to carry out all aspects of fabric planned and reactive maintenance across the building. In return the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £37,000, overtime and further training.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & decorating
• Lighting (Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting etc
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site
• Escort sub contractors
• Event support, set up and pack down
• Carpentry
• Plastering
• Tiling - ceramic, carpet etc.
• Furniture building/removal/moving
• General repairs/handyman works

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
• 08:00am to 17:00pm

Requirements
