Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth is offering an Apprentice Test Technician internship. You will learn across electrical and mechanical testing, setting up facilities, running tests, calibrating beds, and reviewing results to support high-performance power units for Formula 1 and Advanced Technology projects.

Participants will pursue a Level 4 Advanced Apprenticeship while attending college one day a week, with a potential career path at a world-class championship-winning

Qualifications

Completed Level 3 BTEC or equivalent diploma by Sep 2027.
GCSE Maths and English (4/C or above).
Practical experience with internal combustion engines and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

Set up test facilities (dynamometers, rigs) and run tests on components, sub-assemblies and power units.
Calibrate and maintain test beds to ensure reliable results per ISO standards.
Review test results to identify problems and liaise with Engineering to optimise product development.
Adhere to and help maintain SOPs for testing processes per ISO 9001 and contribute to continuous improvement.
