Job summary
Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains invites applications for an Apprentice Mechanical Inspector as part of a 3-year Advanced Apprenticeship Programme. The role is based at our Northamptonshire R&D Centre, where you will learn metrology, X‑ray and CT inspection, working on bespoke, precision components for F1 power units and collaborating with multiple engineering teams.
You will follow a tailored development plan, supported by mentoring, to gain exposure to engineering breadth within our
Qualifications
- Experience in engineering with machining principles or engine components is advantageous.
- Evidence of passion for manufacturing and related projects/work experience.
- Willingness to go the extra mile and take pride in high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Learn to use metrology, non-destructive testing and inspection processes to verify components.
- Develop CNC measurement strategies for complex components.
- Understand GD&T and ISO/DIN/ANSI quality standards and apply them in inspection work.
