Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management in Edinburgh’s Luckenbooths hotel is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Team Member to join our iconic Scottish venue. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, serve with care, and support kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless dining experience.

No prior hospitality experience is required, but a can-do attitude, clear communication, attention to detail and team spirit will help you thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and attentive service from start to finish.
• Take and process food and drink orders; note special requests.
• Serve meals and beverages with high presentation and timely service.
• Set up, clean, and reset tables; maintain a welcoming dining space.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including basic barista duties and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Assist with inventory and restocking; support kitchen and bar teams.
• Uphold hygiene and health & safety standards; ensure a spotless workspace.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD & BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and attentive service, making their experience enjoyable from start to finish.
• Take and process food and drink orders accurately, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks with care, keeping presentation standards high and timing smooth.
• Set up, clean, and reset tables and service areas, maintaining an inviting and well-organised dining space.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including basic barista duties and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks.
• Keep the dining area stocked by assisting with inventory and restocking supplies.
• Uphold hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring a spotless and compliant workspace.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless service, supporting each other for a smooth operation.

What We Need From You

• A friendly, professional approach with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
• Prior food and beverage service experience is a plus, but we welcome a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
• A keen eye for detail, especially in order accuracy and food presentation.
• Team-focused, ready to jump in and support others to keep service flowing.
• Flexibility and energy to thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling peak times with ease.
