Job summary

The Crossways Schools in Thornbury invites applications for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team. You will support both whole classes and individual children, contributing to their attainment, progress and wellbeing.

We are looking for someone with a recognised TA qualification (NVQ Level 2 equivalent) and experience in school settings, including SEND scenarios. Strong communication and literacy/numeracy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Have recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, equivalent to NVQ level 2.
• Previous experience of working with children as a TA in a school.
• Experience with children individually and in group situations, including those with SEND.
• Able to demonstrate sound basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with pupils to address individual needs and development.
• To work without supervision and give accurate feedback to teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support whole classes and individual children in EYFS.
• Assist with daily activities and classroom routines under supervision.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.
